The Jónar Transport Public Warehouse is an ideal solution for customers faced with a shortage of space, and also offers a one-stop, comprehensive storage, bonded, inventory and distribution service for importers and manufacturers.
Fixed costs become variable
In most cases where an individual or company operates their own storage, inventory and distribution facilities, costs are fixed due to factors such as housing, wages, vehicles and other equipment necessary for such an operation.
By using a flexible warehousing service of the type offered by Jónar Transport, costs arising from storage and distribution become variable, determined largely by the quantity of stock in storage and product flow at any given time. As a result, the customer is able to optimise efficiency and achieve economies of scale through more effective inventory control.
Service
The owner of a consignment sends a release request to the warehouse by fax, e-mail or EDI stipulating product number, quantity and destination. Orders can be processed as small units or whole pallets and Jónar Transport manages the rest.
The Jónar Transport bonded/public warehouse is monitored by 24-hour security surveillance and the company places strong emphasis on offering maximum security and reliability in all aspects of product storage and handling.
