Service Standards
The warehouse is open weekdays, 8:00-17:00
- Information on deliveries is sent to clients the week before they are expected to arrive in Iceland.
- Notification of deliveries is sent to clients the day before their confirmed time of arrival in Iceland.
- All documentation relating to cargoes is ready for handover the day the vessel arrives. Documents are posted to recipients, unless they have chosen to collect them themselves.
- Bonded warehouse: Jónar Transport arranges same-day customs clearance for all consignments on request.
- LCL (loose) consignments are ready for delivery no later than mid-day on the Thursday after they arrive in Iceland.
- FCL (full container) consignments are ready for delivery no later than mid-day on the Thursday after they arrive in Iceland.
- Delivery: LCL and FCL deliveries are made the same day if ordered before noon. Deliveries ordered after that time are completed before noon the following day.
- Registration should be completed no later than noon on the day of dispatch.
- Notification is made to clients as soon as registration has been completed.
- Customs clearance: Jónar Transport arranges same-day customs clearance of all airfreight on request.
- Dispatches: Deliveries received by Warehouse D in the morning are ready for dispatch as soon as they have been cleared by customs.
- Delivery: Deliveries of airfreight should be completed no later than four hours after goods have been cleared by customs.
- Notification is made to clients as soon as registration has been completed.
- Express deliveries are delivered to the client no later than 14:00 hrs on the day of their arrival in Iceland.
- Customs clearance: Jónar Transport arranges customs clearance of all Express deliveries.
- Air freight/Express delivery: Orders for pick-up of goods must be received by Jónar Transport no later than 14:00 hrs on the day of their departure.
- Seafreight: LCL (loose) consignments should be delivered to the Jónar Transport Distribution Warehouse no later then 11:00 hrs on Wednesday. FCL (full container) consignments should be ready for dispatch from the sender no later than 16:00 hrs on Wednesday.
