Export documentation

Points to remember

A variety of factors must be considered when a product or cargo is leaving Iceland, in order to prepare it for transportation and ensure it receives the proper care and handling.

  • The bill of lading must be accurately completed, with a full product description.
  • Precise information on the sender/recipient, particularly regarding telephone numbers and contact persons, should accompany each consignment.
  • Does the product/consignment contain hazardous materials?
  • Clearly specify if goods are intended for exhibition purposes.
  • The bill of lading should be accompanied by a EUR manifest or declaration.
  • Goods intended for exhibition should be accompanied by an Ata Carent certificate.
  • If goods are being sent abroad for repair, this should be clearly specified on the bill of lading, along with the serial number.
  • If goods are being returned to their point of origin, this should be clearly specified on the bill of lading.

Jónar Transport can complete all the paperwork relating to your consignment on request, regardless of whether your goods are being handled by us or another transport company.
